About Kimber
I have enjoyed being a virtual assistant for the past 12 years. My background is in the performing arts and arts management as well as the equestrian industry. I grew up riding and showing Morgan horses in the Midwest for about 25 years. I graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music in Berea, OH with a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre. I then went on to receive a Master of Music in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA. Following graduate school I have worked in various professional arts organizations and non-profit companies including serving as the Executive Director of an Arts Council, Managing Director for an Opera Company, and Communications Director for a national equestrian organization. Following the birth of our daughter in 2005, I set out to find an occupation that would allow me the flexibility to work from home and manage clients virtually. I combined all the skills I had learned in previous jobs (marketing, admin, fundraising, grant writing, and office management) and we (my husband and I) officially launched our business, WhangDoodles, Inc. in the Fall of 2007.
I enjoy working with different clients every day and helping them to move forward with their businesses. It is especially satisfying to work with new businesses as they launch their marketing plans that we've developed together and begin to see the fruits of those labors with increased sales. While I have a pretty wide variety of experience in administrative work, I truly enjoy the creative process of graphic design. I love planning events from start to finish and I am extremely detail oriented. And I love analyzing numbers. Weird, I know. Any given day I may do bookkeeping for one client and turn around and update a website for another and then call and make international travel arrangements for another. My day is truly versatile and I love it. It keeps me on my toes for sure and is never dull. |
